China aims to achieve 30 GW of non-pumped storage capacity by 2025 and 100 GW by 2030. These goals were released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, aiming to promote the marketization of energy storage, the reform of the electricity spot trading mechanism, and the participation of foreign capital and technology.
